For many, the decision to be a teacher is one made in their childhood and remains unwavering throughout their lives. My path was a less clear one. Although the love of working with children was always a lifelong factor, teaching never became a realization until later in life. It wasn't until my senior year in undergraduate school when teaching reached out and slapped me in the face. From here, I began my graduate career in education, which has led me to meet some of the most genuine and inspiring people. Although the length of time from making the decision to teach to the completion of this journey was less than a year, I have never been more confident in a decision.
